Book Review: Mind on the Run

The actual name of the book is: Mind on the Run: A Bipolar Chronicle, and chronicle it is, for it chronicles the tragedy that one family endured as one of its members, Scotty, went through five major, prolonged bipolar manic episodes, ending in a suicide that never should have happened.

The book is written by Dottie Pacharis, Scotty's mother, and is told over the course of thirteen years, during which time Scotty was committed 14 times to 11 different hospitals for his manic episodes - escaping from two of them - all along the east coast of the country.

Reading this book, you continually ask yourself, "How could this have happened?" Even as you read the events as they transpired, appalled as, time and time again, Scotty was able to manipulate judges during hearings as he claimed he "is not bipolar, has never been bipolar," and the judges believed him, releasing him without committing him even though he was obviously very ill.

Here's One Way You Can Get FREE Medicine And Treatment

Dear Friend:

As you are already well aware, bipolar disorder is one of the most costly illnesses around. If you don't have good health insurance, then you may have difficult affording treatment and medication for yourself or for your loved one.

There is a solution, BUT it's not for everyone.

The solution is to participate in clinical studies. You may have heard about these types of studies from doctors or from advertisements on television or in the newspaper. Or you may be hearing about them for the first time. Either way, it's important to learn the facts before you commit yourself to one of these studies and to understand how your participation may benefit you and your family.

In a nutshell, clinical studies allow medical professionals to try out new techniques and medications on patients who are actually suffering from bipolar disorder. These types of studies are also routinely done for other health problems as well, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. The studies serve as one of the final steps in determining whether a particular treatment or medication should become widely available to the public.

Participation in clinic studies does require a commitment on your part. In many cases, you'll be asked to spend one or more evenings at a medical facility or you may have to return for a number of visits during a set time period. If you're not prepared to make that type of commitment, then clinical studies may not be the right answer for you.

Maybe you're wondering why anyone would be willing to make this type of commitment? The answer is below:

  • You receive top-notch medical supervision and treatment, often at some of the best medical establishments available
  • You or your family will save hundreds and even thousands of dollars on treatment
  • You will be treated by some of the top medical professionals in the field
  • You will have access to treatments and medications BEFORE they are released to the general public
  • You will be helping improve available treatment options for others who have bipolar disorder now and in the future
  • You get the chance to take a more hands-on approach to managing your bipolar disorder

Are Clinical Studies Right for YOU?

Those are some good reasons to at least consider participating in a clinical study, but before you make the final decision, you need to read a digital report that I've prepared call "Clinical Trials: Are They for You?" This digital report discusses some of the most important issues you need to be aware of before you make this type of commitment, including all of the following:

  • What cost considerations to take into account - Are the benefits going to be worth missing time from work or traveling to the study's site?

  • What health and/or psychological effects might be caused by the study - Clinical studies are safe, but you need to know how to be an informed participant in order to protect yourself and your health

  • Where to find available clinical studies -- Most people don't know where to look, but this report will guide you in the right direction

  • The final word on the safety of clinical studies - Is it safe? Should you worry about participating? You'll get these answers and more

  • What the participation experience is like - You'll find out what to expect when you participate in a clinical study so there won't be any surprises

  • The facts about commitment to the study - Before you agree to participate, you need to be willing to make the commitment. This report will help you determine if you're ready.

  • What you need to know about clinical study terminology - You may not understand 100% what terms like "double-blind" and "placebo" mean, but you need to in order to be an informed study participant and you WILL be after you read this report

  • How to bring up the subject with your doctor - The decision to participate in a clinical study shouldn't be made alone, but it's not always an easy topic to discuss with medical professionals.

  • Which type of clinical study is right for you - There are different types of studies and some may be better for your lifestyle than others; the report will help you know which ones to look for

Plus, much more

So What's This Going To Cost

Now that you understand why reading this report is going to help you make a more informed, knowledgeable choice when it comes to the decision to participate in clinical studies, you're probably wondering how much the "Clinical Trials: Are They for You?" is going to cost.

Because I want to make sure that you get this information BEFORE you make a decision, I'm selling this digital report for only $9.95.

That's a small investment to make when you think of all the benefits you'll receive if you decide to participate in a clinical study. Plus, the information in the report will help you make smart choices about which studies to choose, what questions to ask, and what to expect as a result.
