Thank you Michele, for the link. I feel so grateful for people like you who are willing to share their experiences and communicate with me.

I started a new blog a few days ago about coping with my situation. I hope that through it I can meet people and get their perspectives, and hopefully reach out to others who are struggling as well.

Thanks again for taking the time to write:)

Hello, Hope --

Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry that you are going through such a struggle. When the person with bipolar disorder is in denial, which apparently your husband is, it is so much more difficult to help them (usually because they think they are fine and don't need any help).

A real good source for you as a supporter (besides following my blog) would be to go to: www.bipolarcentral.com, where you can read hundreds of articles for supporters and by supporters, and get the support that you need. There is also a bipolarsupporter blog you can go to as well.

I'm glad you're letting God comfort you through all this. Sometimes that's the best we can do. Just remember that He said, "I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you." You may feel alone in your struggle, but you're not.

Good luck to you, and I hope things get better for you soon. Keep writing back if you have questions and I'll try to help.

Blessings,
Michele

Hello Michele,
I just found your blog and I am glad to read about your insights and experience with bipolar disorder. My husband was diagnosed a year ago and to say the least our lives have been torn apart. He does not acknowledge that he has bipolar disorder which has made things especially difficult.

I guess I am just trying to get to know people who are going through this and reach out, for my own sake and for others as well.

God's love is so comforting through this all, I am glad that you are holding on to that! That's what I hold onto every day. God Bless you for reaching out to others and giving them hope.
