You wrote to me, first, honey. They say those in the mental health business are the ones who need the most ‘help.’ I fear to think that you are a psych nurse and tell your patients ‘no wonder they have no friends’ …. I think there is a reason why you are on this blog and it is not just to ‘brag’ that you helped your boyfriend. Go get some help.
It puzzles me how the stabbing of a psychiatrist by a patient in the hospital could have happened. How could she have got hold of a knife? When my boyfriend was in the psych ward last year no sharp objects were allowed. All jewellery was put in a safe. Cigarette lighters, pens and other tools could only be used in the presence of a nurse and were handed back afterwards. The strict security is in place mainly to prevent the patients from harming themselves, which is more common than harming someone else.
