I watch lots of comedies...
I love to laugh. I laugh a lot. I watch more comedies than anyone I know. I go to see them, I rent them, I own them. Rip roaring, side splitting, fall on your face hysterical comedy goes along way. “A merry heart doeth good like medicine.” (Proverbs 17:22) Laughter is healthy for the mind and body. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!
There was a time when I could not even watch movies very well. My mind was inundated with obtrusive and destructive thoughts. Every second I would hear those thoughts and the movie I was watching did not even fully distract me. I never belived then that I would be so healthy now that I could experience such fullness of joy. I only hoped with all of my longing heart that I would be able to go one minute and truly laugh without mind altering thoughts of death or pain. Now I laugh all the time. Thanks be to God… “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance.” (Proverbs 15:13)
